OUR VISITING EASTER CHICKS - Thank you Vinzent.

Here we are being nice and quiet around the baby chickens.  They have straw and water.
Vinzent is very proud of his little chicks, he shared all his knowledge about the different breeds he has and how he looks after them.

Nice job Daniel, you are using nice kind hands to hold it gently.

Aylah has a little yellow chick.

Our superstar today was Alex!

Here is Alex running our morning routine - sharing news. Well done Alex.

Our Community Whare.

PMP Practice

Add caption
PMP is a programme whicWhat is PMP?h aims to develop the child's perceptions and understandings of himself or herself in relation to her/his world, through movement/motor experiences. It aims to develop perceptions of height and space, the pattern and order of the child's natural world, the laws and limitations that govern the human body. Above all it aims to give the child confidence to manipulate him/herself in their world to suit her or his own best interests. PMP is seen as part of the programme of total experiences. It is not a physical education programme alone, or music, or fitness, or dance, or gymnastics. It is a programme that uses facets of all of the above in order to develop children's perceptions. The perceptions and judgments that are formed over time help determine how children react to their environment, to others, and to new ideas.

Our Buddy Reading Class.

Every Wednesday afternoon we go and do reading with Room 4.  Sometimes they come and visit us.  We share books from the library or we take our writing books and share some of our stories we have written and vice versa.  We are so lucky to have some caring older friends to read with.

Categorizing

Catogorising insects....

Well done Daniel...

AND again with the vechicles.

We are learning about statistics in Room 12, we are learning to do picto-graphs.  We've made 2 pictographs to see how many boys and girls there are in Room 12, we learnt that there are 3 more boys than girls in Room 12.  We also did eye colour, we have a lovely mixture of green eyes, blue eyes, and beautiful brown eyes in Room 12.
We are now moving onto categorizing objects, we all had a turn in groups to categorize different maths objects......question.....can these be categorized differently?
